Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using this website operated by The Disaster Reconstruction Authority, (hereinafter called “The Authority”), established in The Bahamas under the provisions of the Disaster Reconstruction Act, 2019 (hereinafter called “The Act”).

The Authority will provide services to you, subject to the conditions stated in this document. Each time you visit this website or use its services you accept the following conditions.

Content published on this website (digital downloads, images, texts, graphics, logos) is the property of The Authority and/or its content creators. The content is protected by the intellectual property laws of the Bahamas.


The entire communication with us is electronic. Each time you send The Authority an email or visit our website, you communicate with us. By visiting the website you hereby consent to receive communications from us. We will continue to communicate with you by posting news and notices on our website. By visiting this website you agree that the laws of The Bahamas, without regard to principles of conflict of laws, will govern these terms and conditions or any dispute of any sort that might arise between The Authority and you, or its business partners and associates.


Any dispute related in any way to your visit to this website shall be adjudicated upon by the courts of The Bahamas and you consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

Comments, Reviews, and Emails

Users may post content relative to his/her registration as long as it is not obscene, illegal, defamatory, threatening, infringing of intellectual property rights, invasive of privacy or injurious in any other way to third parties. Content has to be free of software viruses, political campaigns, and commercial solicitation.

We reserve all rights (but not the obligation) to remove such content. When you submit your content, you grant The Authority non-exclusive, royalty-free and irrevocable right to use, reproduce and publish such content within The Authority and in conjunction with relevant Government agencies and throughout all necessary entities involved to carry out the tasks of our operation as an Authority.

IIf you are an owner of an account on this website, you are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your private user details (username and password). You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account or password. We reserve the rights to terminate any account or edit or remove content.

    • We may share your information with third-party business partners and trusted users for the purpose of providing the service to you. Third-party business partners will be given limited access to your information as is reasonably necessary to deliver the service, and we will require that such third parties comply with this Privacy Policy, or operate under a similar privacy policy.
  • Instances where we are required to share your information:
    • The Authority will disclose your information where required to do so by law or subpoena or if we reasonably believe that such action is necessary to (a) comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement; (b) to enforce our Terms of Use or to protect the security, quality or integrity of our service; and/or (c) to exercise or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of The Authority, our users, or others.
  • How we store and protect your information:
    • Your information collected through the service may be stored and processed in The Bahamas or any other country in which the Authority or its affiliates, or service providers maintain facilities.
  • Keeping your information safe:
    • The Authority cares about the security of your information, and uses commercially reasonable safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of all information collected through the service. To protect your privacy and security, we take reasonable steps (such as requesting a unique password) to verify your identity before granting you access to your account. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique password and account information, and for controlling access to your email communications from The Authority at all times. However, The Authority cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to The Authority or guarantee that information on the service may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.
